Christmas is over….

December 29, 2008

….and it was nice. As it always is. But I look forward, every year, to it being done with and having things back to ‘normal’. I look forward to the new year, which is a fresh beginning,  a reason to set goals and to get excited about things to come. It’s also nice to look back at the accomplishments and happenings of the year past. Those who know me, know I’m a list-maker. So, this time of year allows me to tick off the last few items of an old list, and to write a whole new one!

Speaking of checking lists, this is Mrs. Clause. I think she’s helping Santa check his list…..Of course she could also have a wicked poker hand down there below the camera-line. We will never know! ;)

We must have been on the ‘nice’ list, because as usual  – Santa spoiled us!

Santa seemed to have dropped something on his way out though.

A little Christmas cheer never hurts….  :)

They say we had the most snow this year at Christmas since the early 1970’s. Those who spend their 12 days dreaming of a white Christmas had their wishes come true. I on the other hand, am a fair-weather girl. Not too hot, not too cold, not too windy, not to rainy. So, while it’s pretty, I’m happy to see the snow come to an end. (I am really starting to sound like a Scrooge!)

I’m pretty sure these have barely left his ears since Christmas morning!

I do hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!  And here’s to the new, fresh year to come…

Good photos, Rebecca. I was just going through your blog and noticed them. Mrs. Clause is a bit wrinkly though – LOL – should have done some photo shop work.
